Say Yes!

Here is your reminder: Your job is what you do; it’s not who you are. On Tuesday, Ashliegh McLean landed a bucket list opportunity: watch top softball talent in the country win a championship. The Florida State v Georgia super regionals sold out in less than 60 seconds.
Thanks to some amazing friends (Mattie Cochran) we miraculously landed two tickets. So, the coordinating began: rescheduling meetings, switching to virtual, securing permission to work from the Tallahassee office, booking hotels, etc.
All in all: the smile on Ash’s face walking into a sold out crowd, hugging coaching friends, exploring the facility — we had to be one of the last ones to leave the stadium. Last night, she got to be a fan. No recruiting. No coaching. No decision making. Just pure enjoyment for the game she is so passionate about. And me, I got to experience competition at its peak level. Admiring the focus of each woman who stepped up to the plate and the highs of winning & disappointments of falling short. So here’s your reminder: the meetings will reschedule - the job will continue - the money will make it’s way back to you - and life will move on. Make sure you pause and take opportunities when they come. And lastly, always say yes to your passions.
